Send me all the Pinterest boards, show me the dress & the groomsmen's matching funny socks, & let me help you create the schedule. I mean every word because a big part of the excitement is getting to take stress off of you and your spouse!
Simply put, bringing your love to life & freezing the moments that make you feel them all over again when going through your gallery is what I put at the top of my values list. Connection, raw emotion, & authenticity is what is important to me when capturing moments for you. Not the staged moments that feel awkward or the big performances for the sake of having your day documented. I believe there is power in taking these authentic snippets of our lives, freezing them in time, & enveloping the very nostalgia surrounding them. I cannot truly accomplish this without developing a relationship with each of my clients. Like I mentioned, I value connection. Connection with you & the one you love.
I strongly believe the Lord intentionally plants people in our lives which is why I crave to develop a friendship with you that lasts. Of course I want to see all of your Pinterest boards, hear the story of how you found your dress, help you make the timeline & shot list. It goes far beyond that, though. I am not just in it for the money; I am in it for you! I want our friendship to go past the date you booked me for. I pray that we send each other Christmas cards, wish each other Happy Birthday, & grab coffee at a local shop in the years following!
From the second you slide into my DMs, I will be at your beck & call. There is no limit to how many questions you can ask or opinions you might need from me. I recently got married to my best friend, so trust me I know how this rodeo goes. It can be an emotional rollercoaster; going from the rush of excitement to the overwhelming sense of feeling unprepared. Seriously, I understand. My point is if you need someone who can present you with vendor ideas, share your excitement, help you plan out the timeline & create a shot list, listen when you might need to vent or decompress - I gotchu, boo.
On the day of your wedding, there is no limit to what I can do to serve you on your special day. I will be there to hold your veil, your bridesmaid's bouquet, your groomsman's beer, you name it. I can carry your train & fluff your dress for pictures; I will even tell you when there's food in your teeth (heck, I would wanna know). I'll be sure that you eat & cut loose on the dance floor. My biggest goal for the day besides taking pictures would be deflecting any stress from you & your partner. It's your day & not a single thing or person should take away from that. We can have code words or secret signals to have our own language so I can know when to steal you away for pictures or just to have a breather. Let me be your wedding day bestie.

FAQ
Should we do a first look?
In my opinion, yes. I encourage my couples to do a first look because it gives you more opportunity to do bride & groom portraits & a few minutes to breathe in the midst of what can be chaos. It is also extremely intimate so it allows you to focus on your soon-to-be spouse. However, it is completely up to you. I have shot weddings that have done both!
How many photos should I expect & when should I expect them?
The short & sweet answer is a lot! It depends on how trigger-happy I am. I end up finishing a wedding day with thousands of photos, then I select the ones to edit for your gallery. After editing, I typically end up with over 1,000 or 1,500. For a portrait or couple session, I will also overshoot, but usually have over 100 images in a full gallery. With weddings, elopements, couples, & maternity photos I will be sure to send you previews within the 48 hours following your session. Then, if it is a wedding or elopement, expect to receive your full gallery in 2 months. If it is a couple or maternity session, I typically return your gallery in 4-6 weeks.
Why should I book an engagement session with you?
Engagement sessions are not only super fun & can be whatever you want them to be, but they are also great for giving you & I that one-on-one time to really learn more about each other. Since connection & relationship are core values in my business, it is important to me to build that foundation with you & your partner. Another great reason is that it's an ice breaker for us so we are already best friends on your wedding day!
Do you shoot destination weddings?
Absolutely! I love traveling and capturing special moments for loved ones no matter where on earth. I will always be down to pack a bag & follow you to wherever!
Can I extend the session on the day of?
Yes, absolutely! There is no reason I should ever not be at your side on your special day!
** The extension will be priced accordingly.
Do I have to order prints through you?
You are not required to, but there is an option to order high quality prints directly though the online gallery provided to you. A print release option will be available to you after your gallery is delivered.
Do you take formal family photos at a wedding?
Of course! Usually, I coordinate with the couple before the wedding day on scheduling 20-30 minutes for family photos in the timeline. I also make sure there is a shot list of who needs to be in the family photos.
